What is Say Cheese! on Roblox?

Say Cheese! [STORY] is a Roblox story game by Mechanical Boy LLC, released on October 19, 2026. You play a photographer in a peaceful park full of round-headed and square-headed people. Whatever you photograph is broadcast on the park TV as breaking news, and the crowd reacts to each headline. Pick the wrong stories and a calm afternoon turns into panic, protests or worse.

The idea is inspired by Nicky Case's web game *We Become What We Behold*, and it spread fast on TikTok: the game passed roughly 2.5 million visits in under two weeks. A full run takes only a few minutes, which is why most players replay it to collect every ending.

How to play

  1. From the menu choose PLAY. (ENDINGS shows your collection, STORE has the optional items.)
  2. Move your mouse: the camera viewfinder follows the cursor.
  3. Click to take a photo of whatever is in the frame — a person, an argument, a smile, empty grass or the TV itself.
  4. Watch the park TV turn your photo into a red-hashtag headline and see how the crowd responds.
  5. Keep shooting until the story resolves. A polaroid card names the ending and shows "ending N of 12".
The game reacts to what you keep photographing, not to one lucky shot. Pick one kind of subject per run — hate, kindness, smiles, the cricket, the TV — and stick with it.

How many endings are there?

There are 12 numbered endings, split into six "park" endings (what happens to the crowd) and six "camera" endings (what happens to you and the TV). Our Say Cheese! endings guide lists every ending with the exact photos that trigger it.

The 2 new secret endings

On October 30, 2026 the developer added an Early Access item to the store described as "Unlock 2 new secret endings", and the game was updated again on October 31. At the time of writing nobody has publicly confirmed what the two secret endings are or exactly how they trigger. We are testing them and will add both to the endings guide as soon as we have reproduced them.

Store items: are they worth it?

  • Hint (R$49) — tells you how to get the next ending you have not found yet. Handy if you are stuck, but every ending is free to unlock and listed in our guide.
  • Early Access — unlocks the two new secret endings early.
  • GOD MODE [SANDBOX] — a sandbox mode for playing with the park freely.
  • DRAW YOUR OC! — lets you draw your own character into the park.

None of the items are needed to finish the 12 standard endings.

Are there Say Cheese codes?

No. As of November 2, 2026 the game has no code redemption screen — the menu only shows PLAY, ENDINGS, SETTINGS and STORE — and the developer has not published any codes. Sites listing "Say Cheese codes" are guessing. If codes are ever added, they will appear on our Roblox codes page.
