Editorial guidelines

These are the rules every HintLoot page follows. They exist so you can trust what you read here.

Our standards

  • We test what we publish. A code is marked working only after our team has redeemed it in the game, or it carries a clear Just found label while it is being tested.
  • We show dates. Every page shows when it was last checked or updated.
  • We keep expired codes visible. Removing them hides useful information; we move them to an expired list instead.
  • We write our own guides. Walkthroughs are based on playing the content ourselves and on reports we can verify, not on rewriting other sites.
  • We say when something varies. If a puzzle answer changes between players, we tell you and give you a way to work out your own.

Corrections

If something on HintLoot is wrong, we fix it as soon as we can confirm it and update the page date. Report a problem any time.

Advertising

HintLoot is funded by display advertising. Ads never decide which games or codes we cover, and we do not accept payment to list or rank codes.
