What is Giggleland?
Giggleland is a story-driven first-person psychological horror game for Windows PC, developed by Hooked and published by Gamincat. It launched on Steam on October 26, 2026 for $19.99, with a 10% launch discount until November 2. The game is fully voiced in English and is tagged on Steam with puzzles, multiple endings and a cute-but-dark art style.
You play as Tolie, a girl in a white dress and pink hat who is not allowed to leave her house. One night she wakes up alone in a theme park called Giggleland. A voice over the park speakers tells her that her father is waiting at the information booth, and Eliot — an orange tabby cat and the park's cheerful guide — offers to show her the way, starting with Farmer Terry's farm.
How long is Giggleland?
According to the developer, Giggleland tells a story of about six hours across eight chapters. Players who explore every corner, look for secrets and go after more than one ending should expect it to take longer. There is no multiplayer: it is a single-player experience from start to finish.
Giggleland characters
- Tolie — the silent protagonist who wakes up alone in the park.
- Eliot — the orange tabby cat who acts as your guide. Players often search for him as "Elliot".
- Farmer Terry — the farm host Eliot takes you to first.
- Ella — appears alongside Eliot in the in-universe "Eliot & Ella" cartoons.
The wider lore also mentions a missing boy named Isaac on a poster seen in the demo, and a family and commune connected to the park's cartoons. How much of that appears in the full game is part of what players are still piecing together.
Is there a Giggleland demo?
Yes. Terry's Vegetable Patch was released on Steam as a free standalone demo on June 8, 2025. It is a separate store entry from the full game, takes up about 12 GB and ends on a cliffhanger. Playing it first is a good way to check whether the tone and performance suit you before buying.
The Giggleland ARG
Giggleland grew a following through an alternate reality game that began in January 2025. Fans decoded a teaser in which a recital of the park rules slowly turns into manic laughter, explored the in-universe brochure site giggle.land, and traded clues in the community Discord. The ARG is separate from the Steam release, so you do not need it to finish the game — but it adds a lot of background for anyone who wants to dig into the lore.
Is Giggleland scary or suitable for kids?
The bright colours and cartoon characters are deliberately misleading. The Steam page describes Giggleland as psychological horror and states that it is not suitable for children. Expect a dark story, unsettling moments and mature themes rather than a family game.
Reviews and is it worth it?
In its first days on Steam, Giggleland sat at a "Mixed" user rating. Fans of the ARG and the art direction have been positive, while other players have pointed to pacing and performance. If you are unsure, play the free demo first — it gives a good sense of the atmosphere.
