What is Nomad Drive?
Nomad Drive is a first-person driving and survival game by Indie Devil. You start with a rundown RV, repair it, and head out onto an endless road through a procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world. Every run starts somewhere different, so no two trips play out the same way.
The RV is both your vehicle and your home. Almost everything inside it can be touched and used — the stove, fridge, sofa, toilet and seats — and you can customise and upgrade it with parts and furniture you find on the road. You can play solo or in online co-op with up to four players.
The game entered Steam Early Access on October 27, 2026 and quickly reached a "Very Positive" rating from players.
Your first hour: what to do
- Get the RV running. Check each broken part and repair it before you set off. If the engine will not start, read the on-screen reason — it tells you which part or resource is missing.
- Gather resources early. Search buildings and wrecks near the start for parts, fuel and food before you drive far.
- Keep an eye on survival needs. Hunger and other needs drain as you travel, so do not leave without food on board.
- Set up the kitchen. Food you find can be cooked on the RV stove for more nutritious meals, and you can brew coffee.
- Store food in the fridge. A working fridge keeps ingredients fresh until you need them.
- Plant seeds. Fruit and vegetable seeds found in the world can be planted in pots inside the RV. Water and tend them for a steady supply of food.
Survival, cooking and farming
Survival in Nomad Drive is about keeping both the crew and the RV going. Besides driving and maintenance, you can fish, repair items, cook better meals in the RV kitchen and grow your own produce. The more of these systems you set up, the less often you have to stop and scavenge.
- Cooking turns raw finds into meals that restore more.
- Fishing is a reliable food source along water.
- Farming in pots gives renewable fruit and vegetables.
- Repairs keep tools and RV parts working longer.
Nomad Drive co-op: playing with friends
Up to four players can share one RV online. Co-op works best when you split jobs: one player drives, one handles repairs, one cooks and farms, and one scouts for supplies at each stop. The free demo includes online play, so it is a good way to test your connection with friends before buying.
