Which fonts does DDLC use?

Every member of the Literature Club writes her poems in a different handwriting font, which is a big part of how the game shows their personalities. These are the fonts behind each character:

CharacterFont in the gameIn this generator
SayoriHashtagGochi Hand (free look-alike)
NatsukiAmmy's HandwritingOriginal font when installed, otherwise Gaegu
YuriJP Hand SlantedOriginal font when installed, otherwise La Belle Aurore
Yuri (Act 2)Damagrafik ScriptOriginal font when installed, otherwise Mrs Saint Delafield
MonikaJournalCaveat (free look-alike)

We only use an original font when its licence allows it to be used on a website. For Sayori and Monika, the original fonts cannot be redistributed, so the generator uses the closest free handwriting fonts instead. The note under the character buttons always tells you which font you are looking at.

How to use the DDLC font generator

  1. Choose a character: Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, Yuri (Act 2), Monika or the main character.
  2. Type or paste your text. Line breaks are kept, so you can write a title on the first line and the poem underneath.
  3. Adjust the size with the slider and turn the lined poem paper on or off.
  4. Click Download PNG to save a high-resolution image, or Copy text to copy the words.
Everything happens in your browser. Your text is never uploaded, so you can write as much as you like.

What people make with it

  • Fan poems in the style of the in-game poem minigame.
  • Mod and fan-game assets — poem screens, notes and letters (check the fan content rules before releasing a mod).
  • Social posts and wallpapers with a quote in a Doki's handwriting.
  • Cosplay props, such as a printed poem or a note from your favourite character.

About Doki Doki Literature Club

Doki Doki Literature Club is a psychological horror visual novel by Team Salvato, released for free on PC in September 2017. The expanded Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! edition later came to consoles. Writing poems for Sayori, Natsuki and Yuri is one of the game's best-known mechanics — each girl reacts to the words you choose, and their own poems reveal far more than they first appear to.

Doki Doki Literature Club and its characters belong to Team Salvato. This DDLC font generator is an unofficial fan tool and is not affiliated with Team Salvato.
