What is Azeroth Survivors?
Azeroth Survivors is a browser game in the style of Vampire Survivors, themed around classic World of Warcraft. It is made by an independent developer known as Aethus and is not an official Blizzard game. You move your hero with the keyboard, your spells cast automatically, and every level-up offers a choice of three cards: a new spell, a higher rank of a spell you already have, or a passive bonus.
Each run takes place in a zone with a schedule of bosses. Survive long enough, defeat the zone's final boss and you unlock the next zone and an endless mode for the one you just cleared. Between runs, your class earns talent experience that unlocks permanent talents and capstones, so every attempt makes the next one easier.
The game updates very often — version 0.130.0 was current at the end of October 2026 — so numbers and balance can shift from week to week. This Azeroth Survivors guide is written for that version.
Where to play Azeroth Survivors (and how to stay safe)
The only official home of Azeroth Survivors is wow.aethus.pl. The game is free, needs no account and runs straight in your browser. There is an optional "Buy me a coffee" link in the hero picker, but nothing is locked behind payment.
- Browser: Chrome, Edge or Safari with WebGPU enabled. On Linux Chrome you may need to turn on WebGPU in chrome://flags.
- Windows: an official download is offered on the same site. Scan any download before running it, and never download it from a mirror.
- Phones and Steam Deck: the browser version works with touch controls.
If you see a "Too many people are playing" message (HTTP 429), the browser servers are busy. Wait a few minutes and reload, or use the Windows version.
How to play Azeroth Survivors
- Pick a race and a class. There are eight races and nine classes. Races give small bonuses — gnomes get extra luck, orcs get Blood Fury and the undead can cheat death once.
- Choose a zone. New players start in Elwynn Forest.
- Move with WASD. Your spells fire automatically, so your job is positioning: kite enemies in circles and avoid getting surrounded.
- Collect experience wisps and gold. Enemies drop them; picking them up fills your level bar.
- Pick a card on every level-up. Focus on a few strong spells and rank them up rather than taking everything.
- Beat the bosses. Bosses arrive on a timer, enrage below 30% health, and the final boss ends the zone.
Azeroth Survivors classes
| Class | Style | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Hunter | Ranged, with pets | Safe damage from a distance and strong single-target crits |
| Warlock | Ranged, damage over time and demons | Spreading DoTs through packs and healing from them |
| Mage | Ranged burst | The fastest screen clearing, but the lowest health |
| Paladin | Melee, healing and defence | Beginners — very forgiving |
| Warrior | Melee | Beginners — sturdy, with Whirlwind builds |
| Shaman | Totems and procs | Players who like setting up their own damage zones |
| Priest | Caster | Experienced players |
| Druid | Hybrid | Experienced players |
| Rogue | Melee | Experienced players |

All zones and final bosses
Zones unlock in order. Clearing a zone's final boss opens the next one:
| # | Zone | Final boss |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Elwynn Forest | Edwin VanCleef |
| 2 | Duskwood | Morbent Fel |
| 3 | Warsong Gulch | Lord Kazzak |
| 4 | Un'Goro Crater | King Mosh |
| 5 | Arathi Basin | Lord Aliden Perenolde |
| 6 | Feralas | King Gordok |
| 7 | Gurubashi Arena | Hakkar the Soulflayer |
| 8 | Scarlet Monastery | High Inquisitor Whitemane |
| 9 | Alterac Valley | Azuregos |
| 10 | Blackrock Mountain | Nefarian |
| 11 | Gates of Ahn'Qiraj | C'Thun |
| 12 | Naxxramas | Kel'Thuzad |
In Elwynn Forest, Edwin VanCleef arrives at the 16-minute mark. Guardians also wait in lairs around each map — they are optional, but worth fighting once your build is online.
Gear, jewels and gold
Gold dropped in runs is not just for score. Azeroth Survivors has a growing item system that you unlock and equip between runs:
- Armory gear sets — one set for each of the nine classes.
- Codex jewels — 23 of them, each adding a passive effect.
- Amulets — 29 to collect, plus rings and trinkets.
- Caches and rerolls — spend gold to open caches and to reroll level-up cards you do not want.
Early on, put your gold into whatever makes your main class survive longer. Once you can clear zones reliably, start collecting jewels and amulets that push your favourite build further. Achievements in Azeroth Survivors also track your progress, so they are a good checklist of what to try next.
Azeroth Survivors co-op
The browser version supports co-op for up to five players. You can host or join a lobby, filter the lobby search and revive fallen friends, and there are co-op achievements to chase. Everyone in a lobby must be on the same game version, so reload the page if a friend cannot join after an update.
Saves: back up your progress
Azeroth Survivors stores your progress in your browser. There is no account and no cloud sync, so clearing your browser data or switching computers can wipe your talents and unlocks. Use the save download option in the menu to keep a backup file, and import it under Options → Saves → Import Save on wow.aethus.pl if you ever need to restore it.
Beginner tips
- Start with Paladin or Warrior. They are the easiest classes to finish a zone with while you learn the bosses.
- Keep moving. Standing still is how most runs end. Circle around the edge of enemy packs.
- Rank up instead of collecting. Three spells at high rank usually beat six spells at rank one.
- Spend talent points after every run. Talents are permanent, and they are how weaker early runs turn into clears.
- Save the boss timer in your head. Bosses arrive on a schedule, so make sure your build has a strong single-target spell before the first boss appears.
- Try Hunter or Warlock next. Once you know the zones, these classes combine safety with high damage.
