Azeroth Survivors tier list (v0.130.0)

TierClassesWhy
SHunter, Warlock, MageThe highest damage; Hunter and Warlock also stay safe thanks to range and pets or demons
APaladin, Warrior, ShamanReliable and forgiving; Paladin and Warrior are the best classes to learn on
BPriest, Druid, RogueWorkable, but harder to clear zones with at the moment
This ranking follows the community consensus for version 0.130.0. The game is patched often — for example, version 0.128 changed Demoralizing Shout to help allies and lowered the Soul Link shield cap — so tiers can move quickly.

Why Hunter, Warlock and Mage are S tier

  • Hunter: attacks from a safe distance, gets free extra damage from pets and lands strong single-target critical hits, which makes boss fights much easier.
  • Warlock: damage-over-time spells spread from corpse to corpse through whole packs, summoned demons fight alongside you, and the DoTs heal you. Players often build towards a Demonology Pit Lord setup.
  • Mage: clears the screen faster than anyone and has three capstone talents to aim for, but has the least health and no pets, so mistakes are punished.

A tier: the best classes for beginners

Paladin and Warrior are the classes most guides recommend for a first run. Paladin's healing and defensive talents forgive mistakes, and Warrior is sturdy, with popular Whirlwind builds that spin through packs. Shaman plays around totems and procs — strong once you learn where to place your damage, but less forgiving at first.

Build tips for every class

  1. Pick a core spell early and rank it up every time it appears.
  2. Take one area-damage and one single-target spell so you can handle both waves and bosses.
  3. Use rerolls on bad level-ups rather than taking a card that does not fit your build.
  4. Invest talents into your capstone path instead of spreading points thinly.
  5. Match gear and jewels to your class — the Armory has a gear set for each of the nine classes.

Paladin or Warrior. Both are forgiving and recommended for your first zone clears.
Is Mage good?
Yes, it clears the fastest, but it has the lowest health and no pets, so it is harder to keep alive.
